The Thomas More window
Strength, faith and energy…
The inspiration for this abstract window is the life of St. Sir Thomas More, an English humanist, jurist, statesman and author of “Utopia”.
The blue, ascending part suggests a protective and comprehensive movement. The color blue is related to the baptism and immersion. The color yellow can be associated with wisdom, creativity and a great mind.
The ascending lines symbolize the new/eternal life. In the yellow part a figure emerges (as the defender of religion).
Justice and militancy are represented by the sword and scale.
Het blauwgekleurde, opgaande gedeelte impliceert een omvattende en beschermende beweging.De kleur blauw is gerelateerd aan de doop en onderdompeling.De gele kleur kan worden geassocieerd met wijsheid, creativiteit en een groot denkvermogen.
De opgaande lijnen staansymbool voor het nieuwe/eeuwige leven. Inhet gele vlak komt een figuur naar voren (als verdediger van het geloof).
Gerechtigheid en strijdbaarheid worden weergegeven door zwaard en weegschaal.
